A lot of moving parts in this recipe!   In the mission to re-imagine a Hot Toddy we started with the Gran Chililque dark, a 70% chocolate presenting natural notes of light, bright honey.  A perfect base.

 

We've added candied Italian Orange and nibs soaked in the World's best double Gold winning fruity Australian Whisky: Starward.   Rounding out the profile we introduce depth and edge with fresh Belizean White Ginger and fresh Belizean Allspice, both sourced direct from the farmer, Juan, during our recent trip to origin.   We chanced Juan's farm workshop early one evening unannounced, but he nevertheless entertained us for hours with unlimited tastings, precious insights from the forest and even a litle live music show where he took on the role of 3 players.  Thanks Juan!

 

Made last November for our Advent Collection, it was an exclusive once-in-a-lifetime limited edition for the 24th, Christmas Eve. 

 

That said.... a few recent Instagram posts encouraged us to remake this bar.. it's a lot of fun and a lot of flavour and we'd love to share this unique, incomparable bar.
